The workshop is geared toward helping industry executives and entrepreneurs with the basic positioning and presentation skills needed to attract capital and partnerships, and covers such topics as:

  • looking at your company from a partner’s or investor’s perspective and formulating a strong and believable positioning statement and elevator pitch;
  • fitting your company into a 10-15 minute presentation that leads your audience to ask the right questions;
  • learning tricks to get in the door of venture capitalists.

The workshop offers on-site interaction with venture capitalists and leading business development executives, providing insight into their thought processes. Additionally, there will be opportunities to practice presentations under the direction of professional trainers.

A schedule showing the exact time of the workshops as well as a complete description of its content will be available at the Business Forum and will be posted online in mid-April. Registration for the workshop will be available both online and onsite at the Business Forum. The size of the workshop is capped to assure an optimum student-faculty ratio. Advance registration is strongly urged.
